Are you planning for a 1-2 days motorcycle tour?

Before you leave you must check the following things in your motorcycle

  1. Check your motorcycle mileage for the last engine oil and filter changed and if you ride more than 2000 km with that oil then it is recommended to change the oil and filter.
  2. Inspect the air cleaner filter. Clean it or replace it if necessary.
  3. Check the coolant level and make sure that it is on the max level bar.
  4. Inspect both sprockets. Clean, adjust and lube the drive chain.
  5. Check tire condition. Check tire pressure and adjust accordingly.
  6. Make sure that all lights are working properly. Extra fog lights are helpful full on any tour.
  7. Inspect clutch and throttle cables.
  8. Install anti-fog film on rear view mirrors.
  9. Full the fuel tank in the morning.
  10. Search on the internet about the destination you are going for.

Do not compromise on safety (according to weather)

  1. Helmet (with anti-fog visor)
  2. Riding gloves.
  3. Safety jacket.
  4. Saftey pants and shoes.

Necessary things we should carry on a motorcycle tour.

  1. Water bottle and some snacks.
  2. Mobile charging holder with charging cable.
  3. Tank bag or leg bag for documents.
  4. Spare Key.
  5. Few Clothes.
  6. Traveling Toiletries.
  7. Phone.
  8. Rain suit.
  9. First aid kit
  10. Portable mini air pump with puncher kit.

Please avoid carrying unnecessary things and more weight. Try to travel with less weight. All these things should be put in the top box. If you are doing camping so you should carry camping essentials along.

Take a rest after a 100 km ride and relax. Touring doesn’t mean that you keep riding and riding 300-400 km in a single stretch. Try to explore nature and beauty and keep hydrating yourself.

Things to avoid on a motorcycle tour.

  1. Start your tour in the morning and avoid riding at night.
